lloydd This three piece band from Calgary can write some great psychedelic songs. From fantastic grooves to killer solos and very good vocals. This album from 2017 gets better with each song and every listen. Another Canadian band that i am proud to support. Favorite track: Magnetic North.

Psychedelic Rick The Vocals are as great as the music. Rare to find both. What an extremely well produced album! Only complaint is I wish it was twice as long! Favorite track: Beyond The Sun.

Into the abyss, no sign of life Past all the stars, past all the light No sound or silence, no sight to see Into the space, into the deep On the horizon, of another world With a fading sun, a cosmic pearl I’m moving far beyond the sun Just a light in time, that’s held in space By all that’s around, keeps it in place No cause for alarm, no need to fear Through the rock and dust, into the clear I found a new way Beyond all the light Through outer space Into the night I found a new place Where I’m the only one Through dust and the haze Beyond the sun
2.
They say I’m evil, they say I’m cruel I say I’m chosen, chosen by you So I walk down this crooked path To try and cleanse my dirty hands I’ve been enabled with too much power But I am no son of god, just the chosen one I am the high priest Bow down to me This corrupt system, in which you believe An outdated proverb, that stays concrete So you speak in twisted tongues No chance of change for fear of being wrong
3.
So I’m lost under the desert sun With the moving earth that lets you burn It’s hard to see what’s before my eyes So I walk towards the only light Under the sun grains of the ground Move into one What will be left when I’m burnt to the ground Bones of my soul Living in the sand Under the sun it’s a different day Leaving me lost in a whole different way It’s a mirage that I think I see But it’s just the light, teasing me I hear a voice, say lead the way It’s time to go, your time is done Not far to go because it’s almost the end But I can’t escape living in the sand I know it’s time The sun has won As my body becomes one with the earth It blows away with the dirt And I know I’m gone
4.
I walk the moonlit path, as I try to trace my tracks I kick the dusty road, to find my way home As my shadow moves, under the moonlight glow I start heading north, in search of warmth The wind at my back, the sun in my eyes I can’t be too far, from the northern lights I lost my soul, I sold my pride For a glimmer of hope, for a speckle of light Follow magnetic north, until it all pulls down Nowhere to left to go, nowhere but home We flock north, looking for something But this here, is better than nothing This warmth, that you call cold Your hell, we call home The days are growing long, the nights are moving slow All that was here, is now all gone I’m finally here, in this warming cold It’s been so long, since I felt home These birds fly north in search of something A cold breeze that’s always moving Fly home at the end of the winter Because this here is better than nothing
5.
Lawless 03:06
I head for the mountains I head for the trees I left on an old horse That died at my feet Not long now, keep moving Not far now, no slowing There’s no law where we are going Just keep your gun at your side you’ll be fine I move through the forest Trying not to be seen But I’ve been discovered By the crackling leaves No mercy, no falter On this blood covered alter There’s lawless blood on the ground As shells cover the town One bullet left in my gun And it is for one of us
6.
Go ask the wise To see the future And draw out a map A view from the past Where do I go Where do I roam What will I find Enlightened minds When the smoke clears I see the light in the world Visions are changing and I know what’s right in the world See what’s around And hear what they say Go ask the elders For sage advice And listen closely It’s not spoke twice My mind is glowing with visions all across the room My eyes are showing, showing me what to do
7.
A New Hope 04:49
There’s been a disturbance in the force There’s dark where light once was before In a galaxy far far away Rebel ships strike from a hidden base Somewhere a new hope is born In a period of civil war Teach him the powers in which he holds It needs to be felt it can’t be shown Let go of yourself, close your eyes and use the force Leave it behind, close your eyes and use the force Your minds a weapon use it well Where there is good there is evil The dark side is calling out to you Believe in what you know is true There’s been a disturbance in the force There’s dark where light once was before Millions of voices all cried out Suddenly silenced without a sound

9.
Chrononaut 05:19
I foresee the future Because I witnessed the past You better watch you step now Because you don’t know what’s next History was foretold by writings on the walls An ancient vision of leaders who tried to warn believers They say, I’m chosen But I’m not the one Who saved your soul I travel through time Trying to find the start The route of evil and chaos And where we all got lost I think I found the answer, I think I found the cause We want to rule the world until it crumbles away I slow down all this time around Just to take a look beyond The endless waves and holes in the ground Just look at what we’ve done I ride the waves of time I ride the endless the light There’s no stopping the future There’s no forgetting the past This is the end of all that we know

about

Woodhawk Calgary, Alberta

Made of equal parts 1970s Birmingham and a myriad of 21st century heavy who’s who, Calgary trio Woodhawk are purveyors of riff centric rock and roll. Capable and original, the band is able to craft anthemic fist pumping songs while forgoing tired stoner rock clichés. ... more
